Job Summary :
Reporting to the Senior Directory of Re-Entry Services, the Regional Director of Re-Entry Services will provide operational oversight of assigned contracted SJS / Re-Entry Services programs, develop and support program leadership, ensure contract compliance and the consistent use of evidence-based practices, be responsive to internal and external communications, and display performance excellence.
Responsibilities include matters related to resident services, the employee experience, staffing, finances, quality and compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Supervise Directors of assigned programs, including regular individual supervisions and the completion of annual performance appraisals.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new Program Directors.
- Ensures programs are operating in compliance with contract.
- Provides meaningful land timely performance feedback.
- Oversees employee relations, including investigation of incidents, in coordination with Human Resources and in accordance with company policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Provides growth and development opportunities for Staff and Leaders.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities :
- Conduct facility inspections, auditing all aspects of program operations to ensure contract compliance, interacting / meeting with program staff.
- Drive employee retention and engagement through interacting / meeting with program staff.
- Conducts weekly meetings with Program Directors to ensure all programs are operating in unison with respect to contract compliance and CRJ policy and procedures.
- Review external reports pertaining to contractual obligations and assist Program Manager with developing correction action plans to correct deficient areas of program operations.
- Provide regular and timely program updates to the Senior Director of Re-Entry Operations.
- Review financial management reports with the Program Directors to ensure budget compliance.
- Assist the Program Directors with annual budget development.
- Act as liaison with internal CRJ Service Lines and external funders / stake holders.
- 24 / 7 responsibility to be accessible to receive calls from the Program Directors reporting emergencies / critical incidents.
- Report emergencies / critical incidents to the Senior Director of Re-Entry Operations according to standard operating procedures.
- Review internal data reports and assist Program Directors in utilizing the information for improved program operations.
- Attend weekly, monthly, and quarterly program meetings and training in various locations.
- Maintain clear and concise records and documentation according to policies and procedures.

Required Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree required in Criminal Justice / Human Services or another related field.
- Extensive experience in a related field may substitute for education.
- At least three years’ supervisory experience required.
Travel requirements :
Heavy Travel Must be present in programs on a regular basis; no less than three times per month per program, attend required in person meetings in any CRJ location.

The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) is a non-profit organization working at the local, state, and national level to improve public safety and the delivery of justice.
CJI provides technical assistance, research, and other services to improve outcomes in policing, the corrections system, pre-trial, re-entry, community supervision, and juvenile justice.
