We seek a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to assist with inputting data from various sources into our electronic systems.
The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. The Data Entry Clerk will report to the Manager / Supervisor and work closely with our administrative team.
Responsibilities :
- Transfer data from paper formats, Excel spreadsheets, PDFs, and other digital sources into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data by comparing it with source documents or re-entering data in the verification process.
- Organize and maintain electronic and paper files and manage projects as assigned.
- Enter, update, and retrieve data from computer systems with high accuracy and speed.
- Respond to inquiries regarding entered data and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Generate reports and perform backup operations as needed.
- Perform other administrative tasks such as sorting mail, filing documents, photocopying, and shredding sensitive documents.
- Follow data integrity and security policies to ensure data confidentiality.
Requirements :
- Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or similar position will be advantageous.
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
- Basic understanding of databases and data entry systems.
