Job Description
The Quality Assurance Engineer is the cornerstone for ensuring quality throughout the system development lifecycle by being a part of a collaborative project team.
You will be responsible for contributing to requirements, creating and executing test strategy for features, creating test automation, and participating in bug triage.
The Quality Assurance Engineer develops an understanding of the application, user needs and business requirements for testing from a user levels viewpoint.
The Quality Assurance Engineer also develops an understanding of the technical operation of the application to test it to its limits.
They are also willing to think outside the box when it comes to testing strategies, and push to uncover the 'Why' behind issues.
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability.
Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years in an IT Quality Assurance role.
- Experience with requirement gathering process'.
- Experience creating test strategies and test cases for manual and automation testing.
- Experience assessing and ensuring quality using testing best practices.
- Experience with automation tools.
- Experience with risk and root cause analysis.
- Experience generating consensus among team members.
- Customer service-oriented attitude and top-notch time management.
- Communicate effectively to different audiences.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of the transportation / logistics industry.
- Proficiency with Agile methodologies, test automation, automation frameworks, and testing best practices.
- Proficiency in driving technical and process improvements.
- Proficient with at least one major programming language.
- Experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows Operating systems.
- Experience with Behavior Driven Development / Test Driven Development.
- Experience with GIT or other versioning tool, IntelliJ, Kafka, Docker, any Webdriver tool.
- Experience with SQL, REST, JavaScript and / or Python.
- BS in Computer Science or comparable work experience.
- At least two years' experience writing and maintaining automation tests.
