Our Client, a nationwide leader in the design and manufacturing of state of the art, High Sensitivity Detection systems for Commercial, Aerospace and Military Applications, is looking for a Senior Electronical / Electronics Engineer .
Note : Candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered.
Ess e ntial Duties & Responsibilities
- Design of high power / mixed signal circuits, servo motor drives and system interfaces.
- R&D and prototype design, assembly and testing for high performance variable speed brushless DC motors and Axial / Mixed flow fan assemblies.
- Provide hardware design support for chemical sensor, flow sensor and configurable controllers.
- Provide engineering support in selecting and sourcing of various electrical components, parts, and process equipment
- Generating bill of materials, work instruction, and testing protocols as required.
- Manage the performance, functional, and environmental tests required for the project.
- Provide engineering support for product concepts, proposal preparation and cost evaluation.
- Development and trouble-shooting experience with servo motor driver and firmware development
E ducation & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D / Prototype electronics design
- Minimum 5 years of analog / digital circuit development.
- Software : Cadence OrCAD 16.5 or newer, C / C++, MS programs, Keil 5 (or newer), C#, Autodesk Eagle 9 (ore newer), RTOS and circuit simulation tools.
- Wireless communication technologies : Xbee, Wifi, GNNS
- Ability to develop testing setups for various performance and verification tests with standard testing instruments and customized testing circuitry if required.
- Electrical testing and board / system level trouble-shooting with common electronic testing instruments (oscilloscope, frequency counter, spectrum analysis, curve tracer, etc.)
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
Education Requirements :
BS / MS or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar
Additional Skills (Preferred) :
- Experience in chemical / biological / particle sensors
- Machine learning, AI experience
- Mesh Network development
- ATAK data integration
- Previous work experience with military products and / or DOD is a plus
- Previous product development experience for military
- ISO 9001 or AS9100 experience
- Familiarity with MIL-STD's
