Staff Accountant

Description :

Participates in the timely and accurate preparation and / or review of all significant financial information provided to Division.

Duties include monthly closing, forecast updates, capital and operating budget preparation.

• Maintains financial controls including analyzing the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows.
• Participates in the self-assessment process and periodic inventory observations.
• Acts as primary accounting support to Florida Materials.
• Assists with GR / IR, inventory, and other transactional issues that may arise.
• Participates in operational benchmarking and other monthly performance analysis.
• Analyzes plant balance sheet accounts.
• Assists with analysis and other support as requested by the divisions
• Other activities including journal entries, maintenance of product inventory values within SAP and reviewing fixed asset transactions
• Involved in special projects and ad-hoc report requests related to manufacturing cost purchasing, working capital, and operating expenses.
• Train and assists Division personnel in utilizing reporting systems to obtain key management information.
