Role

Aurora’s Cloud Security team’s mission is to design and build security capabilities for Aurora Services. Aurora makes extensive use of public cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code technologies.

This role is focused on designing and implementing security infrastructure and controls into AWS to create a mature cloud infrastructure.

In this role, you will partner with our Infrastructure team, and in some cases with development teams that own individual services.

Your focus will be security, but you will need to understand the above areas well to be effective in the role.

In this role, you will

  • Design and build security infrastructure and controls on AWS
  • Secure AWS cloud environment in the areas of but not limited to :
  • Create automation to solve security problems at the root

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in working in security and public cloud infrastructure
  • 1+ years experience in one or more domains in security :
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Detection & Response
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Experience with AWS security controls or equivalent cloud security experience
  • Fundamental understanding of threat modeling, network security, OS security, AWS security best practices
  • Some familiarity with at least 1 scripting / programming language

Desirable

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and writing and reviewing Terraform
  • Experience with microservices and containerization
  • Experience with Kubernetes and related eco-system
  • Understanding of Devops / Devsecops concepts and CI / CD tooling / pipelines

The base salary range for this position is $196k-$294k per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions.

These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
