Credit Representative

Job Title :

• Credit Representative Location : Davenport, Iowa 52801 (106 E 2nd St) Duration :  6 Months Pay Rate : $21.34 / hour Job Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Representative to support the Credit Department in reviewing, managing, and resolving credit related account issues.
• This role is essential to minimizing arrears, reducing write-offs, and ensuring compliance with credit policies, administrative rules, and regulatory standards.
• The Credit Representative will interact with customers, internal teams, and external agencies to effectively resolve escalated credit situations and maintain accurate account records.
• Key Responsibilities Review and take appropriate action on past due active and final accounts.
• Handle escalated customer contacts related to credit issues with professionalism and accuracy.
• Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous call center, credit and collection experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively handle difficult customer issues.
• Conduct credit review workflow exceptions in the customer service system (e.g., disconnection reviews, balance transfers, unpaid non-service items).
• Communicate with property owners, external agencies, and vendors regarding account status and collections.
• Notify and follow up with customers on final bills, payment arrangements, and balance transfers.

Interpret and apply credit policies, tariffs, administrative rules, and regulatory requirements.
