Our client is looking for an Electrical Safety Test Engineer to join their team. This person will conduct various assessments on client’s products to ensure they meet industry and client safety standards.
You will test various products including rating, leakage current, temperature, and many more.
Scope :
- Read and understand national electrical codes and UL / CSA / IEC standards
- Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions
- Have a clear understanding of AC / DC circuits
- Conduct thorough construction reviews of the product following standard requirements and document results
- Perform testing of products in accordance with standards
- Core tests include, but are not limited to : rating, leakage current, dielectric, temperature, pressure, stability, mechanical hazard, flammability, abnormal and fault insurance, rain, radiation, sound, and laser
- Set up and operate standard test equipment including, but not limited to : spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, multi-meter, dielectric strength tester, ground continuity tester, digital multi-meter, surge generator, over-voltage tester, environmental condition chamber, and articulated probes
Requirements :
- A minimum of 3-5 years of Product Safety Test Engineering experience (TIC or Manufacturer) focused on 62368, 60950, 61010, and / or 60601 safety standards required.
- A comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
- Confident decision-making and the ability to explain ideas and plans clearly
- Work according to the current guidelines and requirements for Quality Assurance
