Responsibilities

Ascension Peyton Manning Children's Hospital is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider either Nurse Practitioner or PhysicianAssistant for our NICU department.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Peyton Manning Children's Hospitalto provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights :

• 24 / 7 inpatient schedule combination of 12 and 24 hour shifts
• Procedures include - high risk delivery attendance, intubation, umbilical lines, PICC lines, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis / chest tube placement, circumcisions
• Newborn and sick neonate care of a large variety - surgical, cardiac and neurosurgical services in addition to small baby program for infant 22-27 weeks gestation

Responsibilities :

Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies.

Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.

• Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
• Counsels and educates patients and their families / caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

About Peyton Manning Childrens Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent

Peyton Manning Childrens Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent is part of Indianas largest not-for-profit health system with 22 ministries and over 3000 physicians. Highlights include :

An attached tertiary care, pediatric hospital with 40 private inpatient beds and 8 short stay beds, staffed in-house 24 / 7 by our Pediatric Hospitalist group.

A 23-bed PICU staffed 24 / 7 by Pediatric Intensivists. - A 17-bed Pediatric Emergency department staffed 24 / 7 by Pediatric Emergency physicians.

One of Indianas largest Level IV NICU with 97 beds staffed 24 / 7 by Neonatologists. Coming Nov 2024, the NICU will be moving to a state of the art Women and Infants Hospital that will have a 109- bed private rooms.

Ascension St. Vincent Childrens Services : recognized nationally for faster access to pediatric specialists and best-in-care outcomes.

Through the Peyton Manning Childrens Health system at Ascension St. Vincent your family will get faster access to more than 100 highly experienced pediatric specialists.

A majority of these physicians are double board certified in pediatrics and in one of 40 different pediatric specialties and multidisciplinary programs.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration :

Required Credential(s) :

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

One or more of the following :

Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education :

Master's degree of Nursing required.
