Educational Requirements :

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with ADN required. BSN preferred.

License / Certification Requirements :

  • California State RN License required.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and / or Pediatrics Advanced Life Support certifications required for RNs floated to certain designated units.

Experience Requirements :

  • Minimum (two) 2 years recent RN II experience in specialty required.
  • Experience in two or more nursing specialty areas Adult Med / Surg / Tele / PCU, Adult ICU / PACU, Women’s Services, NICU & PICU, or Emergency Services) required.
  • Two (2) years of acute experience for external hires in their specialty area(s) required.
  • Must be a Clinical Nurse II at CSMS for at least one (1) year to be promoted within the clinical ladder.
