Description

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is looking for a Network Administrator to provide ongoing support to ensure the continued operations, maintenance, and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN).

We are searching for a qualified candidate to bring their troubleshooting and organizational skills to maintain rugged edge networking solutions in support of key principals within the DHS organization.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Cisco networking and preferably Juniper experience as well.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support DHS Classified IT infrastructure data, voice, and video systems.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve networking events and tickets, as well as update and configure equipment while maintaining a configuration management process throughout the systems life cycle.
  • Provide remote operations and administration as well as some local on-site maintenance as required in support of secure voice, data, and video services.

Clearance Required : Must possess active US Top Secret Clearance for consideration.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience with Cisco or Juniper Routing / Switching, and desk top IP phones / VTC's.
  • Desire to work in a diverse, dynamic, and demanding work environment, with the capability to work both independently and with internal / external teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with a focus on Customer Engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Windows Desktop Support experience.
  • Experience providing support to VIP customers.
  • DHS or other government contract experience.

Pay Range : Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
