About The Position
- Job Title : Certified Operating Room Technician / Surgical Technician (CST) Job Specialty : Surgical Services Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (06 : 45 - 15 : 15) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 3 years;
- first-time applicants are accepted License : Relevant state or compact license must be in hand at time of application Certifications : BLS Must-Have : Spine and robotic experience required;
vascular experience is a plus Job Description : Work in a Level 3 Trauma Center specializing in Ortho / Spine / Neuro / Podiatry.
- Perform procedures including ALIFS, XLIFs, TLIFs, ACDFs, Ortho Trauma (gamma nails, TFNs, bipolar hips), Robotics (GYN / Urology / General), Vascular, General, Colorectal, Cysto / Urology, GYN, Breast reconstruction, organ procurements (DCD only).
- Familiarity with equipment from vendors such as Synthes, Stryker, Biomet Zimmer for trauma orthopedics, Stryker Spine, and NuVasive.
- Utilize unit systems including Arthrex tower, Olympus lap video equipment, Allen and OSI spine / fx tables, Hanna table, Mayfield headrest, Covidien FX-10 generator with Ligasure, Novasure, Stryker PI Drills, Stryker 8 power, and Davinci XI.
- Work in a facility with 7 OR rooms and an average daily case volume of 30.- Adhere to a scrub color code provided by the facility.
- Responsibilities include covering holiday shifts as per the job assignment : - Major Holidays to include : New Year's Eve / Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving / Black Friday, Christmas Eve / Day.
- Comply with call requirements : call averages 4 shifts per six weeks with a 30-minute response time.- No floating requirement involved.
- Complete full compliance mandates prior to starting to ensure all necessary orientations and preliminary requirements are met.
- Availability to complete core documentation and schedule labs promptly to ensure an on-time start.Ensure adherence to all protocols and procedures within the operating room setting to promote patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
