The Finish Products Aftermarket (AM) BDM is responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies to meet or exceed AM revenue goals for finish products within Texas.
This position will also be responsible for identifying target customers, developing relationship with key decision makers at the target customers, work with local branches of key distributors to ensure product availability, partner with local ZEWS representatives while working collaboratively with ZEWS sales team, GTM leaders, product managers and marketing managers to grow aftermarket business in the territory.
This position is in the territory and requires approx. 75% travel.
Key Accountabilities
Identify Zurn Elkay Finish Product customers with largest installation base in the territory to drive aftermarket sales.
Develop relationships with customer's key decision makers, showcase Zurn Elkay Finish products value propositions. Ensure attachment rate and aftermarket buying patterns are as per ZEWS expectation.
Gather customer's feedback on what is not working and what needs to change. Track progress for each customer, develop KPIs to measure progress and capture lessons learned.
Identify competitors' customers with largest installation base in the territory to drive aftermarket sales. Develop relationships with customer's key decision makers, showcase Zurn Elkay Finish products value propositions.
Ensure attachment rate and aftermarket buying patterns are as per ZEWS expectation. Gather customer's feedback on what is not working and what needs to change.
Track progress for each customer, develop KPIs to measure progress and capture lessons learned.
Identify key distributors in the territory and prepare a list of branches to target based on the level of opportunity by branch.
Visit branches on a biweekly / monthly basis. Develop relationships with counter people, inside sales and any other key persona at the local level.
Assess the level of inventory for Zurn Elkay and competition. Gather feedback from branch associates on Zurn Elkay and competition.
Talk to walk in customers and gather feedback. Work closely with ASM, Rep and Business Unit to provide anything needed at the branch level (Cross reference sheets, Swags, displays, mats, stool etc.)
- Work closely with ECOM and MRO channel team within the territory and leverage their relationships with customers, distributors and channel partners to drive demand.
- Join ASM, rep and ZEWS training teams in lunch learns, training courses, sales calls, meet and greet with customers with focus on aftermarket, repair and MRO.
- Work with Zurn Elkay product managers and Marketing Product Manager to develop aftermarket specific promotions, campaigns and incentives.
- Track yearly progress of aftermarket orders and sales in the territory. Complete root cause and counter measure if behind plan.
- Provide feedback to ZEWS BUs on competitors and customers to drive improvement. Monitor trends or changes in the market, customer behavior.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or equivalent field required.
- 10+ year of experience in selling finish plumbing products preferably in aftermarket, repair and MRO
- Experience in the manufacturing, construction, HVAC, plumbing & mechanical, or similar industry required
- Must have the ability to train and motivate a sales force, and develop and execute strategic and tactical action plans
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions

- Must have polished presentation and interpersonal skills. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel.

- Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Outlook and Salesforce CRM preferred
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time within assigned territory
- Must reside within their assigned territory
