CNA or caregiver needed M-F 9a-5p
Von & Bick Healthcare Associates is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSP) with a focus on providing care for clients with Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health challenges (DBHDD).
As a DSP-CNA / Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our clients by offering personalized support, fostering independence, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
Patient will need care M-F 9 am-5 pm. Every other week M-Sunday 9 am-3 pm.
Responsibilities : Personalized Care :
Personalized Care :
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate documentation
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring the health and well-being of clients
Behavioral Support :
- Implement and follow behavioral support plans designed for each individual
- Employ positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors
- Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies
Assessment and Planning :
- Participate in the development and updating of individualized care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess client needs and progress
- Report observations and concerns to supervisors and participate in team meetings
Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documenting care provided and any significant changes
- Report incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences promptly and in accordance with policies
Communication :
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Provide updates on client progress and participate in regular team meetings
Safety and Compliance :
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and agency policies
Qualifications :
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health challenges
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations and implement crisis intervention techniques
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
