Get to Know the Opportunity :

This Senior Software Developer who is well skilled in design of business function, applications, information and infrastructure architectures, coding, testing, debugging and maintaining components of information applications will support strategic investment management initiatives.

Please Note : This role is considered an office first hybrid role and we'd prefer someone in the NYC area but are willing to consider others with strong skills in other locations.

The Contributions You'll Make :

• Develop new systems and maintain and modify existing systems as required.
• Participate in process analysis, design, implementations, and commissioning phases.
• Prepares technical specifications and design specifications.
• Provide support in system acceptance testing and validation activities.
• Review and recommend improvements to existing system designs.
• Analyze project requirements and accordingly provide technical and functional recommendations.
• Facilitates continuous process improvements within the team.
• Recommend new technologies to improve system performance and reliability to senior leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience :

• Deep software engineering and development experience required.
• 5+ years of complex (multi-tiered) software development experience including two years of leadership project experience.
• Python, DevOps, C#.NET and Angular
• Experience across multiple platforms / technologies and languages including Python, Java, and C++.
• Relational database development experience is required, including strong database design, implementation, SQL query skills.

Microsoft, Snowflake and other relational DBS.

• Overall knowledge of various aspects of data engineering (databases, cloud data, data migration, data modeling, data quality, data governance etc.)
• Investment Management background required.
• Experience in building data analytics applications.
• Experience in large-scale integrated online RDBMSs across multiple hardware and software platforms.
• Experience in new computing architectures and implementation of networked computing structures, APIs, and User Interfaces.
• Experience developing Unix, and / or Windows based applications, strong component, process and data modeling skills.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience :

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a directly related field.
• Previous experience supporting an Investment Line of business is a nice to have

Compensation Pay Disclosure :

Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.

e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and / or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives.

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and / or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
