About The Role :
OOH is currently seeking a passionate, creative, and highly motivated content creator to join our team as a Social Media Manager.
This is an exempt position that will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of social media, Chicago’s hospitality scene, photography, and videography.
It entails managing social channels for all OOH brands, tracking analytics, developing content, and more... This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with leaders in the food & beverage industry and grow with the organization!
This is a fast-paced role, in a fast-paced industry. An outgoing personality, fantastic communication skills, a high-level of creativity, a strong attention to detail and an overwhelming love of food and beverage are necessary.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
- Community management and engagement
- Draft content calendars and schedule posts in advance
- Ideate and execute out-of-the-box content ideas that drive brand engagement
- Develop creative content around food holidays, annual holidays, and marketing events
- Work alongside Chefs and Managers to set-up photo and video shoots for new menus, specials, marketing events, private events, catering, and more
- On-site shoot management
- Live social media from marketing events, press events, and internal meetings
- Stay abreast of trends (food & beverage, lifestyle, etc.) for real-time marketing opportunities
- Report on monthly social media stats to showcase growth
- Manage paid social media ads and budget
- Advanced knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and other new emerging platforms
- Interest in technology and what’s next
- Be a large part of the marketing team join weekly marketing meetings and events led by the marketing team
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
- 2+ years professional social media experience
- Advanced photography and videography skills
- Editing skills
- Knowledge of Later, Planoly, Canva, Sprout, Asana, Lightroom (or equivalent platforms)
- Ability to manage multiple brands with differing brand voice, brand needs, and brand goals
- Keen eye for branding and detail, in another words, you get it
- Strong writing skills
- Continued education in all social media platforms
- Incredible organizational skills
- A passion for having fun, dining out, and trying new restaurants
- Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
- Understanding of how marketing, public relations, business development and social media work together is a must
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to work autonomously as well as with a team
- Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment with deadline pressures
- Ability to be flexible with job demands and open minded when being asked to complete tasks
- Ability to travel to different locations around the Chicago area, as needed
- Onsite work environment
- Ability to sit and / or stand for up to 8-10 hours a day
- Ability to carry equipment with travel including camera, laptop, etc.
