AECOM is seeking a Design Manager (Design Build) to be based in Portland, OR.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages and leads a team of professionals, overseeing the design of large-complex projects.
  • Manages design effort, design schedule, and budgets.
  • Change and risk management.
  • Coordinates client needs and develops / builds on relationships for future opportunities.
  • Mentors, develops, and hires support staff.
  • Monitors contract compliance and leads project dispute / resolution process.
  • Leads and assists in the development of future design-build proposals.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with project owners / AHJ's.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelor's degree + Ten (10) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 20+ years of transportation project experience
  • Experienced with Design Build delivery for final design
  • ODOT Design Build Project Experience
  • Experience leading and managing transportation design-build projects with ODOT's on large complex highway projects.
  • Experience managing a large team in a fast-paced environment.
  • State Professional Engineer License, or the ability to obtain within twelve months.
  • Excellent Communication Skills and Ability to Lead Staff
  • Position will require frequent travel to project and client sites

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $170,000.00 - $261,000.00.
