LABORATORY TECHNICIAN - DIAMOND BAR Sierra Cybernetics is seeking a LABORATORY TECHNICIAN to work for us supporting our Diamond Bar client The Air Quality Management District (AQMD).
You will support the laboratory and chemists performing laboratory analyses. You will be responsible for sample handling, sample media preparation, sample extraction, solution preparation, and other duties relevant to production laboratory operations.
This assignment is expected to last approximately 4-6 months with a possibility to extend up to 12 months. Your schedule is expected to be four 10-hour days (7 : 00 a.
m. to 5 : 30 p.m.), Tuesday through Friday fully on-site in Diamond Bar. Open to US citizens, green card holders, or H1-B visa holders.
EDUCATION A minimum of twenty-four (24) semester units (36 quarter units) in chemistry is required which must include the following courses : general chemistry, analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical methods, and the applicable laboratory sections.
Courses in instrumentation, mathematics (at the calculus level), statistics and introduction to data processing are desirable.
The most competitive candidates will also have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or similar field. EXPERIENCELaboratory experience is highly desired.
Candidates with the most directly-related or transferable experience will be given highest consideration.
