VP Finance
I am with an accounting / finance search firm in the area, and I am working with a company looking to hire a Vice President of Finance.
In this role, there is great exposure, you'd be working with a dedicated team with excellent tenure, and they maintain work / life balance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Cash and Treasury Management : Oversee the company's cash management, treasury functions, and marketable securities investments, ensuring optimal liquidity and investment returns.
- Tax Compliance : Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax-related reporting and filings in coordination with the accounting department.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration : Oversee human resource payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Financial Analysis : Support the CFO in analyzing the performance of the real estate property portfolio, cash flow, and financing activities.
Provide insights and recommendations to drive financial performance.
Investment Support : Assist the President with evaluating and managing non-real estate investments, including those in technology and renewable energy sectors.
Analyze potential investment opportunities and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Collaboration : Work closely with the asset management and accounting teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness in managing financial operations and reporting.
Qualifications :
- 8+ years experience
- CPA or MBA a plus
- Experience in cash forecasting.
- Evaluating and reporting related to stock and bond investments.
- Understanding of partnership taxation.
- Experience with evaluating investment opportunities.
- Understanding of capital markets and interest rate environment on an investment portfolio.
- Significant financial analysis and modeling experience.
- Experience in commercial real estate.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Spanish is a plus.
