Job Description :
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. As a School OT, you will play a crucial role in supporting students ability to participate in and benefit from their educational programs.
You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to enhance students' functional abilities and academic success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' needs and abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom.
- Monitor and document students progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
- Provide training and support to teachers and parents on strategies to support students needs.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Washington State OT license or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Dedication to improving the educational experience and outcomes for students with diverse needs.
