About The Position

Job Title : Pharmacist

Location : West Union, IA

Duration : 12 weeks

Shift : 8-hour days, Monday - Friday (7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM)

Hours : Guaranteed 40 hours / week

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team on a 12-week contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong inpatient hospital background, excellent critical thinking skills, and experience with EPIC Willow electronic medical records.

Key Responsibilities :

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a hospital setting.

Manage inpatient, outpatient, chemotherapy, and infusion medication therapies.

Compound medications as needed.

Utilize EPIC Willow for charting and medication management.

Perform thorough patient assessments and apply critical thinking to optimize pharmaceutical care.

Adapt to change, manage multiple tasks, and work collaboratively with clinical teams.

Requirements :

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (required)

Licenses : Valid Iowa Pharmacist License (required)

Experience : Minimum of 5+ years in inpatient hospital pharmacy practice, including critical access hospital experience

Technical Skills : EPIC Willow experience (required)

Certifications : ACLS, BLS (current certifications required)

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Resilient, hardworking, and able to manage change effectively

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
