Activities Assistant

Corner View Nursing and Rehabilitaion Center a skilled nursing facility searching for a FUN, HAPPY, CARING and COMPASSIONATE person to fill a Full time ACTIVITY ASSISTANT position. Position would assist the Life Enrichment Director with the completion of the residents individualized person-centered activity program. Person must be engaging, friendly and sociable and also able to work evenings and weekends.

Job Duties Include :

• Meeting with residents within 48 hours of admission to collect information on likes and dislikes to support needs
• Work various hours to ensure all activities are being performed
• Administering facility monthly newsletter to residents
• Is able to attend resident counsel if needed and provide insight
• Helps residents maintain their highest level of function by engaging in activities that support their overall needs
• Assists residents in coming to planned activities 30 minutes in advance
• Has a positive attitude towards residents, coworkers, families, and outside vendors at all times
• Assist with window visits for families and residents
• Help with scheduling family visits
