At Cook Counseling and Consulting Inc., we are dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to our community.
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist specializing in testing and assessment to join our mid-sized group private practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to fill a critical gap in our clinical offerings and enhance our ability to assess for Autism across the lifespan, as well as conduct evaluations for children and teenagers.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations utilizing a range of assessment tools and techniques.
- Administer and interpret psychological tests to assess cognitive abilities, personality traits, emotional functioning, and diagnostic criteria.
- Assess and evaluate individuals across the lifespan to identify and clarify diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals to integrate test results with broader treatment plans.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of assessments and findings.
- Provide timely feedback and clear, concise reports to clients, their families, and referring professionals.
Qualifications :
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Extensive experience and expertise in psychological testing and assessment, with an emphasis on Autism evaluation across the lifespan and evaluations for children and teens.
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting a variety of assessment tools, including cognitive, behavioral, and diagnostic measures.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based assessment practices and familiarity with relevant diagnostic criteria (e.g., DSM-5).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex psychological concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and culturally sensitive approach to assessment and therapy.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
Position Details :
- This role is a hybrid position, combining telehealth and in-office sessions at our Gahanna location.
- As a contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule and workload.
- There are no visit minimums, allowing you the freedom to provide thorough and focused care to each client.
