Responsibilities

The High School Counselor will play a vital role in supporting our students' educational and emotional development

This position involves providing academic guidance, college and career planning, and personal counseling to help students navigate high school and prepare for their future

Full-time / 37.5 hours a week

Assist students in developing academic and career goals, and help plan their courses and activities in line with these goals

Coordinate and deliver classroom guidance lessons on topics such as college readiness, career exploration, and personal development

Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to support student achievement and well-being

Facilitate intervention strategies for at-risk students, including referrals to external professionals as necessary

We are currently partnering with a high school in he Dearborn, Michiganarea to find a dedicated High School Counselor to join our team and help guide our students through their academic and personal challenges for a medical leave coverage from August - December of the 2024-2025 school year The High School Counselor will play a vital role in supporting our students' educational and emotional development.

Requirements : Masters degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Valid Virginia state license in School Counseling.

Strong understanding of the college application process, scholarship and financial aid programs, and career exploration resources.
