The Role :
The Venue Technology Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the POS system used by concession stands. This includes services such as distribution and testing of hardware prior to the start of each event, assisting with troubleshooting during events, and ensuring all units are secured post-event.

Responsibilities :
- Distributes and tests each POS prior to the start of each event to ensure they are connected to the network and all card readers are functioning properly.
- Provides training to staff on how to work with each device, along with troubleshooting tips.
- Troubleshoots any issues that arise with POS during shows and escalate to management and outside service providers when necessary.
- Repairs / Replaces defective hardware before, during and after events and communicate any issues with non-working POS to Management.
- Works with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and implements changes and tracks RMAs of all equipment inbound and outbound for repairs.
- Collects and returns all equipment to the proper storage area at the end of each event to keep charge for thenext event.
- Performs software updates on POS equipment as needed.
- Keeps an accurate inventory of all POS equipment throughout the season and assists in the winterization ofall equipment at the end of each season.
- Performs other duties as requested by Management.
Qualifications :
- Prior experience working with a POS system is preferred.
- Understanding of networking including TCP / IP, VLAN’s is a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, speak and write English in order to communicate with staff and guests
- Ability to work all venue events and maintain a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including extended hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions
- Must be punctual and dependable
- Must maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance in accordance with company and venue standards
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant standing, reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette preferred
- Ability to effectively listen and take direction from management
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
