GENERAL SUMMARY :

Responsible for assisting the Licensed Healthcare Provider (Physician, APRN, PA) and nurses with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Supports remote clinic sites with data entry and chart completion in the EHR. Collaborates with other staff to achieve quality patient care and customer service goals. Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

High School diploma or equivalency required. Active Nebraska Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required. Six (6) months CNA experience preferred. Nebraska Medication Aide Registry preferred. If not currently on the Nebraska Medication Aide Registry, completion within six (6) months of hire is required.

OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS :

Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

(Physical Requirements are based on federal criteria and assigned by Human Resources upon review of the Principal Job Functions.)

Characterized as medium work requiring exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or a greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Ability to assist 100+ pound patients to exam tables and push wheelchair bound patients. Exposure to blood, waste, body fluids, and communicable diseases.
