DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, and in addition to performing the full range of operational level duties, responsible for administering licensed social service programs or relevant work.

Provides licensed social work services consisting of discharge planning, continuing care services, and clinical social work services, including crisis intervention, mandated reporting, information and referral, and coordination of health and mental health services with community providers.

The Clinical Social Worker is responsible for working on the medical acute floors - inpatient Intensive Care, Telemetry, and Med Surg levels.

Providing clinical support to the patient population with individual and support system interventions, resource education and access, homeless patient poly substance abuse / dependence, complex care management, grief, end of life, change in functioning levels, discharge planning, crisis intervention, and care management planning.

Weekends, holidays and covering for vacations & sick time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Master's degree from an accredited school of social work (MSW) and possession of the requirements necessary for application for licensure as a clinical social worker as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.

At least two (2) years of post-MSW experience. To be considered for the Clinical Social Worker III, the candidate must have at least three (3) years of post-MSW experience and be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

Must have proven independent thinking, decision-making, problem-solving and prioritizing skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

2 years of post-graduate clinical experience.

2 years experience working with varied levels of population.

1 year experience working in a hospital or residential setting.

Experience working with high levels of social determinants patient populations, polysubstance abuse / dependence patient populations, and medical social work.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Depending on the experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at a Clinical Social Worker II or Clinical Social Worker III level.

The pay scale for the CSWII (2+ years post-MSW experience) is $40.83-$53.78 / hour. The pay scale for the CSWIII (with California LCSW) is $45.80-$60.34 / hour.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range : $85,232 - $112,293 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent : $40.82 - $53.78

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
