The Coding School (TCS) is seeking a passionate and talented Senior Program Manager to make this happen! This is a pivotal hands-on role, with accountability for managing a dynamic Educational Programs team and delivering on all TCS Program objectives.
TCS is a global leader in emerging tech education, including Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.
We’re focused on training the future diverse workforce by providing educational opportunities, training, mentorship, and community programming for K-16 students and educators, professionals, and others.
Offerings range from small-sized programs, such as K-12 classroom workshops, to large-scale courses for 2,000+ participants.
This role will enable you to make a true difference, managing the execution of all TCS STEM education programming. In this role, you will supervise a team, ensuring that all programs are filled, executed flawlessly, deliver an exceptional experience and achieve stated learning objectives.
You and your team will be responsible for participant outreach / recruitment, support, and educational management / execution.
The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusive teaching methodologies, educating the future workforce, and will have strong people and program management experience.

The person who fills this role will work collaboratively across the organization and externally to increase awareness, generate support, and raise visibility of TCS’s work.

Major Responsibilities
The Senior Program Manager coordinates closely with the CEO and Leadership Team to achieve the following goals :
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure that programs comply with all contractual and reporting requirements and local, federal, and international standards.
- Manage timely, accurate, and high-quality data collection and analysis across all programs.
- Support the submission of grant applications and delivery against grants.
- Produce reports and impact / outcome data to provide insights to internal and external stakeholders and inform program design and improvement.
- Create and assess KPIs while continuously enhancing programs to maintain the highest standards and competitive edge.
Program Management and Execution
- Oversee and lead the Educational Program team, ensuring the successful and on-time design, launch, delivery, execution, and completion of all programs.
- Monitor program quality and progress toward goals; ensure that program and learning outcomes meet stated goals and objectives.
- Proactively facilitate participants' seamless connection to ongoing and relevant program pathways.
- Lead participant outreach and recruitment efforts to successfully meet program participation goals and objectives.
- Develop clear goals, outcomes, and strategic plans leading to the sustainability and growth of programming.
- Partner closely with the Curriculum team to ensure seamless development and delivery and implement continuous improvement.
- Form, cultivate and manage on-going, sustainable partnerships with external partners, including teachers, school districts, universities, community colleges and other key stakeholders.
- Drive improved project design and program development by actively incorporating participant feedback and satisfaction to refine and deliver responsive programming.
- Promote strong relationships across staff and implement a participant-centered service methodology.
General Management
- Model organizational values and promote a positive working environment that is diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible for all.
- Provide high level leadership in accordance with TCS’s People Manager standards, including :
- Convening regular one-on-one meetings with all direct reports.
- Delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively while ensuring accountability.
- Providing consistent and ongoing feedback and communication.
- Mentoring and coaching team members; supporting their professional development.
- Manage an educational programs team, instructors and teaching assistants, volunteers, and internal and external partners.
- Observe, review and analyze processes to identify and implement improvements.
- Role is remote, with occasional travel, as well as evening and weekend work, as required.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Required skills / experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required;
- Minimum of 8 years of professional work experience with progressive levels of responsibility, including supervisory and program management experience;
- Experience managing virtual, global large-scale educational programs (with at least $1M+ budgeted projects) strongly preferred;
- Self-starter with outstanding problem-solving skills, superior analytical skills, sound judgment, and the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively;
- Demonstrated ability to promote an organizational culture that reflects TCS’s core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equity;
- Strong experience with program management, strategic planning, and conducting monitoring and evaluation activities to maintain program quality;
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multicultural environment;
- A growth mindset, with a passion for flawless execution and a can-do attitude;
- Preferred experience with K-16 education;
- Preferred experience with LMS platforms, such as Canvas, and project management and communication tools, such as Airtable and Monday.com.
- Ability to travel as required; and,
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
