Responsibilities
Summary
Department : Med / Surg
Shift Timings : 07 : 00-19 : 30 Hours Monday to friday (3 Days / 12 Hours Shift)
Per Week : 36 Hours
Specialized Orthopedic and Neurologic care are provided on this 20-bed unit acute care unit. Our patients can be post-surgical or neuro medical.
We focus on pain control, ambulation and preparing our patients for discharge
Roles & Responsibilities
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications
BLS and ACLS
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med / Surg experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
Active unencumbered RN Iowa state license
One year of Cerner experience
Requirements

Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal / communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
