Key Responsibilities :
- Guest Service :
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus and provide detailed information on dishes and beverages.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special dietary needs and preferences are noted.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide timely refills and additional items as requested.
- Address and resolve any guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and tact.
- Menu Knowledge :
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
- Offer suggestions and upsell menu items, including wine pairings and daily specials.
- Stay updated on any changes to the menu and communicate these effectively to guests.
- Team Collaboration :
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Assist colleagues with various tasks, including clearing tables, refilling water, and resetting tables.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Sanitation and Safety :
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Follow proper procedures for handling food and beverages.
- Administrative Duties :
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions securely.
- Maintain accurate records of orders and transactions.
Qualifications :
- Education : High School Diploma is required. Bachelor in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Industry Experience : Minimum of 3 years food and beverage experience in a high-volume fine dining and / or social dining restaurant;
or sales experience in related fields.
- Certifications : Must be able to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and work cards.
- Communication : Professional fluency of English in both speaking and writing. Additional languages are +++
- Technical Skills : Experience in POS systems and Cash Handling processes.
- Service Standards : Friendly and Attentive service is required while upholding fine dining standards in the forefront.
- Industry Knowledge : In-depth understanding of fine dining service standards, etiquette, and protocols.
- Menu Knowledge : Comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant's menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
- Wine and Beverage Knowledge : Knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails, including proper serving techniques and pairings.
- Health and Safety : Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations relevant to the hospitality industry.
- Attention to Detail : High level of attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Adaptability : Ability to adapt to changing environments and guest needs.
- Interpersonal Skills : Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with guests and staff.
- Reliability : Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
