Description
As an Inventory Clerk, your responsibilities include managing all parts or products, including recording new items in the stock room(s).
You track each item as it enters the establishment through records of what has been sold and where those goods go.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management : Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that stock is maintained at optimal levels. Update inventory records and databases accurately.
- Stock Tracking : Perform regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Order Processing : Process incoming and outgoing inventory shipments, including receiving, inspecting, and recording materials.
Prepare and dispatch orders to internal departments or external vendors.
- Organization : Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area. Ensure that all items are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible.
- Documentation : Prepare and maintain inventory documentation, including inventory reports, order records, and shipping manifests.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Support : Assist with inventory-related inquiries and provide support to other departments in managing their inventory needs.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience : 1-3 years of experience in inventory management or a related role.
- Technical Skills : Basic proficiency with inventory management software and tools. Strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
- Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and attention to detail in inventory tracking and documentation.
- Organizational Skills : Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Communication : Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret and / or a TS / SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Education : Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience : 3+ years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a high-tech or aerospace industry.
- Advanced Skills : Experience with advanced inventory management systems and techniques. Knowledge of industry-specific inventory practices and requirements.
- Certifications : Relevant certifications in inventory management or supply chain (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)) are a plus.
- Industry Experience : Familiarity with aerospace or space technology sectors, including understanding of inventory needs for complex systems and components.
- Innovation : Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvements and optimize inventory management practices.
