Role Summary
As the General Manager of MADabolic Oakland Park, you are the boots-on-the-ground leader of the business who is responsible for all aspects of the gym's operations and growth.
You work tirelessly to maximize brand awareness, passionately lead your team of top-notch trainers, and take pride in upholding a pristine space at all times.
Most importantly, you manage MADabolic Oakland Park like it is your own business and lead a team that is as ambitious as you are.
Because of this, you are treated like a business owner. The hungrier you are to grow the business, the faster your compensation grows!
Compensation and Benefits
- 60,000-$90,000 total annual compensation (base salary + bonus structure)
- 15 days PTO
- Free membership to take classes at ALL MADabolic locations

Duties and Responsibilities
Pre-Opening
- Recruit and hire a team of trainers that are open to embracing and promoting MADabolic’s philosophy on fitness and nutrition.
- Complete MADabolic’s General Manager training program.
- Attend MADabolic’s instructor training and complete certification testing.
- Establish relationships with local businesses for : potential MADperks partners, sites for free workouts, tabling opportunities, etc.
- Research local events and inquire about tabling / promotional opportunities.
- Lead all membership pre-sale efforts.
- Create relationships with local health, fitness, and wellness communities along with key influencers, MADbassadors, and corporate partners.
- Hold weekly meetings with trainers leading up to the grand opening to practice movements, class structure, sales efforts, etc.
Following Grand Opening
Think and act like a business owner by fixing any problems that arise without being prompted. If a lightbulb goes out, you change it.
If a client is unhappy, you help them. If a trainer needs coverage for their class, you teach it. If a piece of gym equipment breaks, you fix it or replace it.
- Bring your energy at all times of the day by coaching 4-6 MADabolic classes per week.
- Make data-driven business decisions using KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to maximize revenue (and your paycheck!).
- Enthusiastically oversee the member experience from start to finish. Sell memberships using the MADabolic sales process and keep members engaged and happy!
- Spread awareness and generate leads by planning and executing grassroots marketing events, partnering with local businesses, and supporting complimentary fitness concepts.
- Passionately lead your team of trainers and front-desk staff by providing initial training and ongoing support.
- Manage local social media platforms; Create and post brand-aligned, gritty content.
- Ensure you never run out of anything by assessing studio inventory and placing orders as needed (or before!).
- Keep the lobby, bathrooms, and gym floor sparkling at all times.
- Practice what you preach by training at MAD 4x week.
