About The Position
Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician Job Specialty : Central Processing and Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Job Duration : Not Specified Shift : 12 PM - 8 PM, Monday to Friday, with on-call weekends Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : 3+ years of experience in central processing and related fields.
Previous travel experience preferred. License : Not specified Certifications : Certification in central processing required.
Must-Have : High school diploma, COVID vaccines plus booster, and 2024-2025 flu vaccine (declinations not accepted). Candidates must not have worked in a permanent or travel capacity for any associated facilities within the past year.
Job Description : Responsible for sterilization processes and ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly prepared for medical procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of sterilization supplies and report shortages as necessary.- Collaborate with medical teams to ensure availability and readiness of instruments for procedures.
- Adhere to all procedures and protocols related to sterilization and infection control.- Maintain comprehensive records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
- Participate in regular training to stay updated with the latest sterilization techniques and safety standards.- Provide excellent customer service to medical staff and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
