Behavior Therapist Requirements :
- High school Diploma or College Degree
- Childcare, healthcare, or mental health experience required
- Must have consistent availability, Monday through Friday, including evenings
- Impeccable attendance and reliability
- Knowledge of Autism and appropriate behavioral interventions
- Ability to work without constant oversight
- Fun and professional personality to interact successfully with kids and parents
- Open to feedback and ability to adjust approaches accordingly
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Behavior Therapist Job Responsibilities :
- Provide one on one in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy
- Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions and submit documentation in a timely manner
- Conduct Discrete Trials, Natural Environment Teaching, and a variety of teaching / reinforcement methods in line with the Behavior Support Plan.
- Work collaboratively with a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
- Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and challenging situations with diplomacy
- Maintain proactive communication with supervisor for feedback and guidance
