We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team in Glencoe. As a School Social Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of our students.

Overview :Responsibilities :
- Provide direct social work services to students, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to address behavioral, emotional, and social issues affecting students' academic performance.
- Act as a liaison between the school, community organizations, and external agencies to connect students and families with necessary resources and support.
- Develop and implement preventive programs and initiatives to promote positive mental health, social skills, and resilience among students.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans for students with special needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, coordinate services, and develop strategies for student success.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all student interactions, assessments, and interventions.
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license / certification as a School Social Worker (if required by the state).
- Previous experience working as a School Social Worker or in a similar capacity preferred.
- Knowledge of child development, counseling techniques, and evidence-based interventions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and understand the unique needs of students from various backgrounds.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to child welfare and education.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing challenges.
