Must haves :

  • Must be a self starter, should not require much supervision. SOFT SKILLS VERY IMPORTANT HERE
  • Strong adaptability and attentiveness as the command center environment is fast paced.
  • Strong Windows / Linux foundations. Role is 60% Windows, 40% Linux
  • Command Center experience is very valuable
  • 100% Availability and flexibility within the role, a passion for the work.

Other info :

  • This role is 100% eyes on glass in front of a computer, no walking around.
  • Part of the role is working with hardware vendors via email, phone, webex.
  • There won't be much scripting / automation but that is a nice to have.

Description / Comment : Candidate can work remotely- but the team would like them to be in Phoenix, Austin, or Westlake

This is for the swing shift (Monday - Thursday 2 : 30PM-1 : 00AM EST)

This is a 100% remote position and the hours are not negotiable

Under general supervision, this position participates in the technical administration of server systems, as well as being a point of contact for our internal customers and assists with monitoring enterprise wide alerts, as well as performing work within ITOs incident, problem, and change queues.

Alert monitoring, triaging and recording incidents, participating in service recovery events, and handling incoming calls and tickets from business partners.

Provides support for routine production problems that have been escalated to the command center and / or technicians. Evaluates issues and escalates to senior technicians, engineers and / or the vendor as appropriate.

Tracks the status of the issue and provides updates to stakeholders as required. Updates internal ticketing systems as required.

Build productive internal / external working relationships with peer and above-level positions to ensure tasks are completed.

Completes work assignments based on departmental priorities and system criticality, under general instruction from senior administrators.

Execute server change tickets to which a Data Center resource is assigned.

Maintains and increases technical knowledge by attending training activities and establishing personal networks.

Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
