Education | Associate Degree in Healthcare. Required; Bachelor's degree in science or healthcare preferred

Experience | Experience : Five years minimum in Sterile Processing with increasing responsibility. Prior

management experience needed.

Technical Skills | Due to the highly technical nature, especially related to interpretation of manufacturer's

Instructions For Use (IFU), ALL SPD staff must be proficient in spoken and written English.

License / Certification | Certification as Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through Healthcare

Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) formally known as International Association of Healthcare

Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or Certified Sterile Processing and

Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through Certification Board for Sterile Processing and

Distribution (CBSPD) is required. Additional three certifications listed below, must be acquired

by new employees or current employees grandfathered into the role within two years. Certified

Instrument Specialist (CIS), Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER), and Certified Healthcare

Leader (CHL) through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) formally known as

International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or

Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist (CSIS), Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER),

and Certified in Sterile Processing Management (CSPM) through Certification Board for Sterile

Processing and Distribution (CBSPD). Note : Certifications must be maintained as a term of

employment

Compensation : $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
