Position Summary The Department of Psychology at La Salle University is seeking applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position.
The position begins in August 2025. The successful candidate will serve as a core faculty member in La Salle’s APA-accredited Psy.
D. Program in Clinical Psychology. The position is a full-time, nine-month appointment with a teaching load of four courses per semester.
The teaching load is three courses per semester prior to tenure. There is additional compensation if the candidate agrees to engage in teaching, evaluation, supervision, etc., in the summer.

- Teaching in the Psy.D. Program during the academic year. The anticipated teaching is load is 3 courses per semester prior to tenure.
- Developing a program of research / scholarship.
- Serving on committees in the program and department.
- Chairing and serving as committee member on dissertation committees.
- Academic advising of students and other tasks related to the academic functioning of the program, department, college, and university.
Secondary Responsibilities Required Qualifications
- Completion of an APA-accredited doctoral program and APA-accredited internship in clinical psychology.
- Multicultural humility and commitment to ongoing work in multicultural responsiveness and competence
- Demonstrated teaching ability.
- Ability to mentor and advise students on research and dissertation work
- Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate teaching experience.
- Evidence of the beginning of a program of research / scholarship.
- Licensed or license-eligible in the practice of psychology
Physical Requirements and / or Unusual Work Hours
- Evening hours may be required to teach an evening class and / or to participate in programmatic events (e.g., Diversity Forum, Grimes Lecture, etc.).
