SUMMARY OF POSITION :
The District Manager is responsible for the financial success of an assigned group of Quay shops through their leadership and guidance.
The District Manager drives profitable growth, ensures achievement of district financial goals by utilizing business metrics and KPI's to analyze and influence performance and through team leadership.
The role ensures brand consistency across a fleet of shops; providing management and oversight of visual, service, selling and operational standards.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES :
THIS POSITION OVERSEE FLORIDA & TEXAS STORES.
Sales / Financial
- Creates district-level strategies to drive sales to meet or exceed targets and financial goals
- Manages the district P&L, managing to payroll, budget, expense, discounting, loss prevention goals
- Provides support to execute Quay promotions, events, and product launches
Leadership
- Leads the district by messaging Quays strategic goals to Shop Management and linking these goals to individual locations and employee performance.
- Communicates business insights and feedback to relevant cross-functional partners
- Schedules regular shop visits, providing guidance and coaching to Shop Management (all levels as identified) within the District;
conducts in-person management meetings as needed.
- Plans and leads a weekly district conference call and a regular cadence of touch-bases with the Shop Managers to discuss business results, future strategies and team development
- Coaches and provides feedback to shop managers, ensures Shop Management leads the teams to meet performance goals; assists with navigating difficult conversations as needed
- Conducts investigations in partnership with HR and corporate office resolving concerns promptly
- Creates, executes and upholds succession planning within the district and individual shop locations
Operations & Service
- Ensures that operational, service standards and Quay policies & procedures meet compliance expectations across the district
- Audits and reviews shop schedules for optimal use of payroll hours to maximize sales opportunities and customer experience;
approves Shop Manager timekeeping
- Provides shop merchandising updates, oversight of location inventory levels, execution of visual directives, and corporate communication flow
- Responsible for the recruitment and hiring of Shop Managers within the district; responsible for oversight of each locations staffing and talent strategy
- Works closely with the Retail Operations team to schedule trainings including product knowledge, service and selling techniques
- Works closely with corporate partners to execute new store opening processes (i.e. liaise with landlord, staffing and onboarding, etc.)

Fiscal Accountabilities :
Responsible for the Districts achievement of profitability and sales targets including Sales Plan, UPT, ADS, and conversion along with managing the Districts budget and overall cost control.
10 shops in 2020, increasing to 13 throughout 2021.
Key Working Relationships :
This person is required to maintain strong working relationships with the Director of Retail Operations, Retail Shop Managers and teams and cross-functional corporate business partners.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Minimum of 5-7 years of multi-unit retail management experience required
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales through leading, coaching and developing a team of managers
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive / effective business partnerships across all levels of the organization
- Experience working independently organizing, planning and prioritizing travel and competing business calendars
- Proven ability to analyze sales metrics and create effective action plans from the data
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence business partners
- Ability to identify top talent, network, recruit, create and maintain high performing teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferable!
Field Travel Requirements :
80% annual average Must have a personal vehicle available for business travel to shop locations throughout the district. Air travel and overnight stays required to out-of-state shops and the corporate-HQ.
Physical Requirements :
- This position requires working in a retail shop environment 80-100% of the work-week. Requires standing and walking up to 8 hours per shift
- Required to lift items weighing 5 to 25lbs regularly, with occasional lifting of higher weight boxes or fixtures
- Requires stooping and kneeling to process and place merchandise as well as reaching and pulling to obtain or stock merchandise from storage.
- May be required to climb ladder or step stool in order to stock and / or acquire merchandise for sale.
- Required to work an 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed.
- Must have flexibility to work and travel during peak traffic times, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to perform essential functions (with or without an accommodation) without posing a "direct threat" to the health and safety to self or others.

Outside of New Shop Opening cycles : 4 days a week in locations, 1 day in home office 80% field travel.
