SCOPE OF POSITION : Enjoy up to a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus! The Master Plumber / General Maintenance Technician performs safe and efficient planning and execution of plumbing work, projects, and general maintenance assignments throughout the County Complex and properties.

The Facilities Operations team is committed to providing the employees and residents at Rockingham County a safe, supported, and environmentally conscious environment.
The Master Plumber / General Maintenance Technician is a vital part of our team who maintains and troubleshoots all potable hot and cold-water systems, circulating hot water heating systems, steam heating systems, and steam-fed equipment in the County Complex.
Further, they maintain and keep all sanitary drains, vents, roof vents, sinks, tubs, floor and equipment drains clear. This position may assist with the cleaning, maintaining, and troubleshooting of the oil-fired boilers, furnaces, hot water heaters, electrical, and HVAC systems and equipment.
As part of our team-oriented environment, the Master Plumber participates in cross training with all other divisions in the Facilities Operations department, and may be required to provide coverage during emergency situations, such as snow removal, for up to 16 hours.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school education and / or the equivalent;
- Knowledge of plumbing equivalent to completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent from a vocational or technical school.
- Master Plumber's license required. Valid driver's license required.
- Five (5) years of related experience and / or training,
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
