We have a phenomenal Speech Language Pathologist opportunity in one of our partner Skilled Nursing Facilities located in Oakland, California! This position is in-person, part-time and planned for 13 weeks with possibility to extend.

You will play a critical role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with communication, swallowing, and cognitive disorders.

Your expertise will help improve patients' ability to communicate effectively, regain swallowing function, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans for patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide direct therapy services in various medical settings such as SNFs, home health, outpatient clinics, or hospitals.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies and home exercises.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and reimbursement requirements.
• Stay updated on advances in medical speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for CCC.
• Experience working within a medical setting; SNF, HH, Outpatient, Post-Acute Rehab..etc
