Profile : A law firm in Elmsford, NY is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense work.
The ideal candidate will have specific experience in auto insurance defense and trial experience is a plus.
Duties :
- Manage and handle insurance defense cases, focusing on auto insurance claims.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
- Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Develop and implement case strategies and prepare for trial.
- Review and analyze insurance policies and coverage issues related to auto claims.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the cases.
- Provide legal advice and recommendations to clients regarding defense strategies and case management.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense work, with specific experience in auto insurance defense.
- Trial experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies and coverage issues.
Certifications :
Admission to the New York Bar (required).

- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing case files.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and court appearances.
- Ability to develop and implement case strategies.
