This position is responsible for organizing and servicing the needs of Customers and Operations by proactively improving quality within Anderson-Negele.
In this role you will collaborate with a team of operations professionals, utilizing Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing tools, to meet or exceed corporate and customer expectations, while leading key quality and reliability improvement initiatives.
In this role you will :
- Establish and implement quality practices consistent with operations, customer and company requirements - Build a culture of quality within the business and all functions.
- Drive Problem Solving Process / 8D corrective action efforts for on major quality issues impacting assembly and production.
- Responsible for tracking and reporting of quality metrics at a site and corporate level.
- Lead and / or participate in material review of non-conforming material. Lead cross functional discussions with Engineering, Quality, and suppliers on major quality issues impacting production.
- Assist Supply Chain in developing and implementing processes to both effectively qualify new suppliers and exit risky suppliers.
- Drive quality and productivity (team effectiveness and efficiency) improvements using FBS / LEAN Manufacturing principles.
- Lead internal and external audits (ISO, ETL and UL)
- Act as Ex Authorized Person and coordinate manufacturing processes related to Ex Products, including externally provided products, services and processes.
On your first day, we’ll expect that you’ll have :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Quality role.
- Complex problem-solving capability and experience.
- Working knowledge of Quality systems and processes required.
- Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure within changing deadlines and time constraints, while still providing high quality results.
- Proven successful experience in working as a collaborative team member and work well with peers and managers.
