The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficient, profitable, and sustainable operations.
The GM will be responsible for formulating and executing strategic plans, managing a diverse team, overseeing production, driving revenue growth, and fostering strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry preferably plastics, polymers, or masterbatches combined with exceptional leadership and operational management skills.
Key Responsibilities : Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute the company’s strategic goals and long-term vision in alignment with the company's global business strategy.
Drive growth initiatives that expand market share, revenue, and profitability.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability within the organization.
Operational Management : Oversee day-to-day operations, including production, quality control, supply chain, R&D, and distribution to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
Implement best practices in manufacturing processes, optimizing productivity while maintaining high-quality standards.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols.
Financial & Budgetary Oversight : Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to executive leadership.
Drive cost optimization initiatives to improve margins and profitability.Analyze operational results and implement strategies to improve overall business performance.
Team Leadership & Development : Lead, mentor, and manage a cross-functional team of department heads, including production, sales, finance, HR, and technical departments.
Promote a high-performance culture, supporting employee growth and development.Foster teamwork, collaboration, and communication across departments.
Customer & Supplier Relations : Maintain and build strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and business partners.
Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality product delivery, service reliability, and responsiveness to market needs.
Negotiate key contracts and supplier agreements to secure advantageous terms and conditions for the company.Sales & Business Development : Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs.
Develop go-to-market strategies for product lines and collaborate with global entities to align efforts.Drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth initiatives.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement : Ensure product consistency, quality, and compliance with all standards (ISO, customer-specific, etc.
Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to optimize processes and reduce waste.Drive innovation in product development and operational efficiencies.
Sustainability & Innovation : Integrate sustainable practices into all facets of production and operations to meet industry environmental standards.
Champion R&D and innovation efforts that align with market trends and customer demands, particularly in areas like sustainable packaging, biodegradable materials, or recyclability.
Qualifications : Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (Master’s degree is preferred).
Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership or management role, preferably in the plastics, chemicals, or manufacturing industry.
Proven track record in operational management, business development, and financial oversight in a manufacturing environment.
Skills : Strong leadership, decision-making, and team-building abilities.Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality assurance.
Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, cost control, and budgeting.Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
