As an Sr. Specialist RAN Engineering, you will be responsible for applying radio frequency (RF) principles to assist our team with building a better network.
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
- Designs, plans and oversees installation, maintenance, and optimization, and / or performance of wireless radio access network communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition and ancillary equipment.
- May include engineering, design, development, test, implementation, maintenance, RF optimization, capacity management, performance management, encryption, and / or troubleshooting of satellite networks and Teleports, including underlying routing.
- May include GIS (Geographic Information Systems) performance analysis & drive testing.
- Analyzes Radio Access Network (RAN) data to recommend optimal changes to RAN network to improve all key indexes and performance indicators.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another STEM related field or equivalent experience.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in network design, network planning or network analysis or related experience.
- Interest in working with and understanding network data.
- Ability to access data / KPIs via SQL and experience working with a scripting language like Python desired.
Environmental Requirements : This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T's compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function.
This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
Salary Range : Our Sr. Specialist RAN Engineers earn between $96,000 - $144,000 yearly. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education / training.
