Description :
Our company is currently looking for a talented Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role requires an understanding of technical drawings and blueprints to assemble complex wiring harnesses, as well as the ability to use hand tools in the assembly of large mechanical components in both the prebuild and final assembly stage of the manufacturing process.
Candidates should possess a strong ability to assemble, test, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities / Duties :
Final assembly of truck-mounted cranes which includes :
Installation of :
- Electrical Wiring
- Hydraulic Hoses
- Decals
- Other Component Parts
- Perform tasks on checklist
- Record performance testing on all crane functions
Assist in diagnosing electrical or mechanical problems by the use of appropriate equipment and tools
such as voltmeters, hand tools, hoists, pressure gauges, drills, grinding wheels, and other tools common to the trade.
Assist in diagnosing component parts of machinery including gearboxes, hydraulic systems and valves,
hoists, and other related parts :
Read and use factory manuals and blueprints as required to fulfill job assignments.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Knowledge of control circuits, DC and AC crane drives, DC and AC motor maintenance, power
- distribution, and overall function of container handling cranes.
- Knowledge diagnostics and repair. General working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel).
- Judgment and quick-thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to operate forklift, if needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum of 4+ years in a manufacturing assembly environment, with hands-on
- experience working with hydraulic equipment and electrical / control wiring. Licensed NCCCO Crane Operator or inspector preferred.
- Technical Proficiency : Must be proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints.
- Measurement Skills : Must be able to use and accurately read various measurement tools,
- including Tape measures, calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges, and multimeters.
- Physical Requirements : Capable of lifting at least 75 lbs.
- Screening : Must pass a drug screening and background check. Experienced Millwright a plus
- Know how to set and use a Torque wrench
- Know how to read a dial indicator for setting specific tolerances with gears settings.
- Understanding continuity in electrical components
- Understanding flow and pressure with hydraulic systems
- Experience bending steel hydraulic tubing a plus
Tools Requirement : Employee must provide their personal set of tools. Basic hand tools required for Assembly operation :
