Job Title : Mammography Technologist
Location : Irving, TX
Shift : 8 HR Variable Monday - Friday, with occasional half day on Saturday
Shifts Per Week : 5
Scheduled Hours : 40 hours per week
Hourly Rate : $31 - $45 per hour
Sign-On Bonus : $10,000 (for external applicants only)
Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will perform screening and diagnostic mammograms and Dexa scans.
Knowledge of Stereotactic biopsies is preferred but not required. This role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for career growth and development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform high-quality Breast Imaging procedures according to exam protocols, ensuring timely and accurate imaging results.
- Utilize AIDET communication techniques with patients to identify service requirements, ensure correct procedures are performed, and establish rapport.
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors.
- Adhere to safety and infection-control policies, radiation protocols, and sterile techniques during procedures.
- Maintain the equipment and work area to ensure quality and cleanliness, reporting any issues to management.
- Ensure the safety of individuals entering the department by screening them per approved policies.
- Accurately maintain medical imaging records and other relevant documentation, such as patient history and consent forms.
- Provide excellent patient care, administering first aid if necessary and ensuring overall patient satisfaction.
- Assist in training new team members and offer guidance on new services and initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Education : Graduate of an Accredited Program
- Certification :
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Mammography (ARRT-M)
