Environmental Specialist 3

Description

GAI Consultants is seeking an Environmental Specialist 3 to lead wetland delineations and other environmental resources field investigations for electric transmission and other energy-related projects. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment that will utilize their related experience to develop professionally and grow in today's global environment. This position is eligible for GAI's flexible Hybrid workplace selection, in accordance with our Telework Policy.

Job Duties :

• Lead environmental field surveys including but not limited to wetland and stream delineations, endangered species surveys, environmental inspections and compliance monitoring.
• Data collection using handheld GPS.
• Prepare wetland delineation and other environmental reports.
• Must be flexible; weekly travel will be expected as part of this position (up to 90 % of the time). Fieldwork in rough terrain, exposed to weather and outdoor hazards. Travel to remote areas driving on rough roads in a variety of weather conditions. This position requires hiking 5 or more miles per day and carrying up to 40 pounds.
