We are looking for a Junior Developer to support the creation of new databases at the direction of the Project Manager, identify strategies to automate work, increase efficiency by leveraging approved tools (e.
g., UIPath, UFT), document key procedures to ensure service continuity, ensure that data used in visualizations is accurate and represents the intended information, and identify opportunities to use existing data to provide improved / new insights to the leadership team.
The responsibilities of the Junior Developer include writing code, analyzing data, and contributing to the design and implementation of Business Intelligence software and Data Warehouse Solutions.
The Junior Developer should demonstrate creativity and innovation, ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, and possess excellent communication skills.
Ultimately, a top-notch Junior Developer should have experience in software development, be able to keep up-to-date with deadlines, and have strong analytical skills.
Role, Responsibilities, and Competencies :
- Create and maintain scripts and applications for Data Engineering, to include extract, cleaning, translation, and loading of data from diverse systems.
- Create and maintain small, local database instances.
- Extrapolate data patterns through advanced algorithms; developing simple graphs and charts to explain how the mathematical information will influence the specific project or business.
- Utilize Agile Methodology in performing coding assignments and reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality.
- Ability to apply emerging & disruptive software to address organizational needs.
- Ability to collaborate and foster partnerships with Business and T&E colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving and consensus-building skills, data-driven and analytical.

Qualifications, Education, and Skills Requirements
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, information systems, or related fields.
- Two to five years of relevant experience in performing programming, systems administration, technical analytical systems, data engineering, or software testing.
- Proficient knowledge of SDLC methodologies and artifacts.
- Experience in database design.
- Active Secret Clearance or recently held.
- Experience in government information systems and databases.
- Experience with ETL / ECL.
- Must have exceptional critical thinking and communication skills, particularly in writing policy-related materials.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Jira, PowerBI, and Python.
Additional Desires and Considerations
- Two to five years of experience in data engineering / modelling or SDLC.
- Previous experience supporting DoD or Federal government health agencies.
- CDMP, CISSP, Software Engineering Master Certification (SEMC) or other relevant certification.
- Military or veteran hiring preference.
- Preferred work location is within the Pensacola, FL Metropolitan Area. Hybrid work schedule with potential for occasional travel to client headquarters.
