Healthworx is seeking a Senior Corporate Development Analyst to support the sourcing, evaluation and negotiation of strategic partnership and inorganic growth initiatives in support of the CareFirst and Healthworx strategy and mission.
Leveraging experience in financial and strategic analysis, new business model development, and project management, the Associate will help shape and execute on the CareFirst inorganic growth strategy.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Support corporate development initiatives including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic contracting, and partnerships.
- Build and maintain operating and valuation models for acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures.
- Evaluate, model, and conduct due diligence on potential corporate development and opportunities.
- Perform ongoing research, financial modeling, and analysis to inform investment decisions.
- Create compelling, persuasive presentation materials to communicate key learnings and recommendations to senior level executives.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support the day-to-day execution of corporate development initiatives.
- Support the development and enhancement of the inorganic growth strategy for CareFirst.
Additional core responsibilities include :
- Contribute to the development of a high performance, innovative, collaborative, and continuous learning culture.
- Attend internal and external meetings, including presentations to executive teams.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments, executive management, and external stakeholders, providing clear and accurate data.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS :
Required Education / Experience :
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, management consulting, or corporate finance environment, with exposure to the healthcare industry.
Required Abilities / Skills :
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret financial information and accurately explain / report activity in verbal and written communications.
- Strong financial, quantitative, and analytical skills.
- Strong project management skills. Must be able to provide structure, be proactive, navigate ambiguity, manage stakeholders, hold others accountable without authority, and create appropriate professional collateral (e.
g., decks, project plans, etc.).
- Collaborator who builds trusting relationships and drives engagement and decisions across multiple levels and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
- Exceptional communication, active listening, critical thinking, and presentation skills.
